Just like Segways the PT S -1000 has built in safety systems including if you reach the maximum speed the unit will beep and automatically slow you down to keep you under the safe operating speed.
The Robo PT S-1000 is Technically an Electric Skateboard, but is more of a Personal Transporter with the ability to turn left and right in addition to forward and back. ( No Steering shaft, First of it's kind )

The PT-S1000 uses gyroscopes and acceleration sensors to control your balance intelligently depending on the center of your gravity. The PT S- 1000 also uses a servo controlled motor to control the system more accurately, Just like the smaller version Personal transporters when you lean forward it goes forward, when you lean backward it goes backward ( How segways and segway alternatives work )
The built in Dynamic stabilization system has no issue with going front and back, but when you turn left and right you have to lean your body into it to control the centrifugal force so you do not fall off. It's just like riding any balancing transporter, you have to learn to lean without a steering rod.
